Investment and construction project of Thu Thiem 2 bridge in the form of BT contract approved by the City People’s Committee in Decision No. 450/QD-UBND dated February 2, 2014. Accordingly, the main objective of the Thu Thiem 2 bridge construction investment project is to connect traffic between the existing urban center and Thu Thiem new urban area in order to create a driving force for rapid development for the creative urban area in the north. East, contributing to reducing traffic congestion in Ho Chi Minh City, promoting sustainable socio-economic development of Thu Duc City in particular and Ho Chi Minh City in general, with main contents such as: after:
– Project scale: The total length of the project is about 1,465m. In there:
+ Road to District 1: about 35l,6m long; width from 39.3m to 57m.
+ City road. Thu Duc: about 227.7m long; 36.2m wide.
+ Bridge section: about 885.7m long, including main span with cable-stayed structure and reinforced concrete lead spans; bridge cross section meets 06 lanes; District 1 side includes 03 bridge branches.
+ Complete technical infrastructure system (trees, lighting, water supply and drainage,…) in sync with the route.

+ Investment decision-making body: City People’s Committee.
+ Specialized management agency: Department of Transport.
+ Investor: Dai Quang Minh Real Estate Investment Joint Stock Company.
+ Design consultant: WSP Finland Co., Ltd.
+ Supervision consultant: Dasan Consultants Co., Ltd.
+ Construction contractors: Freyssinet International ET Compagnie Company, Freyssinet Vietnam Co., Ltd., Thien An Mechanical and Construction One Member Company Limited, Dat Phuong Joint Stock Company, Saigon Traffic Construction Joint Stock Company, Consortium of Mai Tien Thanh Co., Ltd and Tan Vu Trading – Service Private Enterprise.
Current progress has completed 70% of the work.
Expected second quarter of 2022: basically completing the work, organizing the traffic of the main bridge.
